Mental health and individual’s wellbeing are interconnected. They are shaped by several factors such as biological, psychological, and social. The world health organization in 2001, define mental health as person’s ability to deal effectively with life challenges, being productive at work, and contributing positively to the society (R Sreevani, 2025). Since the modern approach focusses more on biomedical and neglecting the subjective suffering as stated by Siegel (1990), arises the need of alternative technique for addressing those issues by client centered and more holistic manner. Tantric therapy can bridge this gap as it deals with individuals by integrating mind, body and soul. It has its base in Indian scriptures and philosophical concepts that promotes yoga and meditation and help to overcome avidyā and ignorance concerning one's own existence (Paranjpe, 1998). The principle of tantric therapy affirms the statement that Indian psychology is regarded as a science of the inner world focused on achieving ultimate perfection (Rao, 2005). It delivers client centered holistic approach that incorporates religious faith, rituals, spiritual beliefs and symbolic practices and provides individuals with hope, emotional comfort, and meaning in life. Although tantric therapy addresses human sufferings and reduce stress, increase emotional stability, and provides inner peace, the empirical studies examine the therapeutic outcomes remains limited. Thus, the current research is aimed to analyze the effect of tantric therapy on DID patients and the significance of religious faith on therapeutic improvement.
