Language is a tool and medium to enhance
the knowledge and skills. Language skills
are Listening, Speaking, Reading and
Writing. These skills are developed through
many sources. Newspaper is one of the best
sources to enhance language art skills. The
objectives of the study are to develop basic
skills among learners. The researcher
selected Government Higher Secondary
School, S. Puliankulam in Madurai District
for this research study. The researcher
adopted Pre-test, Post-test and Experimental

design for the research. The collected pre-
test and post-test scores were computed for

analysis. The suitable parametric techniques
were used to analyze the data. The mean
value of the learners in post-test (16.47) was
found to be greater than pre-test (8). The ‘t’
value. The students and teacher gain
knowledge of four language skills.
Language skills were developed among the

IX standard students through these demo-
classes the floor has to believe that the IX

standard students are enabling in the
knowledge of language skills.
