This paper introduces a swarm-intelligence-based hybrid control system designed to optimize the dynamic response of piezoelectric pneumatic servo valves. While piezoelectric actuators offer high force-to-weight ratios and fast responses, their severe inherent nonlinearities—such as hysteresis, creep, and temperature drift— compromise tracking accuracy and transient performance. To resolve this, the proposed hybrid architecture combines the robust transient response of conventional control with the adaptive capabilities of intelligent algorithms. The controller’s parameters are systematically optimized using Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to minimize overshoot, settling time, and tracking errors. Validated through a mathematical model incorporating fluid dynamics and asymmetric hysteresis, numerical simulations and experiments demonstrate that this scheme successfully suppresses hysteresis-induced oscillations, accelerates response times, and cuts steady-state errors under diverse loads. Ultimately, this approach provides a scalable, highly robust solution for high-precision, highspeed pneumatic automation.
